The Kingfisher Calendar has grown bigger year after year. It is a huge platform where some of the most gorgeous girls and fittest bodies vie to be on India’s most coveted and celebrated calendar. It has always been synonymous with style and fashion. The hunt for the picture perfect model who has a flawless figure, pretty face and great attitude came to an end in a sizzling finale episode.
After a series of photographic tests, spectacular tasks and intense competition between the ten models ranging for a period of 7 weeks, the calendar finally got its supermodel in Ketholeno Kens (Leno). Ketholeno was crowned the supermodel and will now be seen on the Kingfisher Calendar 2014.
The show was a completely new experience for Ketholeno Kense, who hails from Nagaland. Expressing her excitement, Leno says, “It is a dream come true for me and I am thrilled to emerge as the winner of this year’s hunt for the Kingfisher Supermodels and be a part of the Kingfisher Calendar. I loved the entire experience of the talent hunt. Even though the competition was tough, I made a few close friends during the journey. Also, the contest made me a stronger individual. I would sincerely like to thank Kingfisher and NDTV Good Times for providing this life-changing platform.”
Talking about the fifth season of the ‘Hunt for the Kingfisher Supermodels’, Gurpreet Singh, Assistant Vice President Marketing, United Breweries Ltd says, “This edition of the hunt proved to be a special one with the new format. This edition of the show saw former Kingfisher Calendar Girl Lisa Haydon as a mentor for the contestants on the show as well as the anchor of the show. The 13 episode series saw industry stalwarts such as Atul Kasbekar, Milind Soman, Pallavi Sharda, Aditi Rao Hydari, Suneet Verma, Rina Dhaka, Shivan & Narresh, Gaurav Gupta and Mohan Neelakantan who groomed the supermodels and judged their stunning performances.
The finale was judged by the graceful Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari. In the finale task the girls had to be at their sensuous best and give their best striking pose on an acrylic sheet which was floating on water. The task saw the ace photographer, Atul Kasbekar, behind the camera working his magic on the girls as they battled to be the new face of the calendar and finally Ketholeno Kense emerged as the winner.
